Justice Hecht will report on Supreme Court actions and those of other courts related to the Supreme Court Advisory Committee since the December 2012 meeting. Justice Hecht may refer new issues for the committee’s study.
UNIFORM ELECTRONIC FILING RULES
Babcock
Former Justice Rebecca Simmons, chair of the Judicial Committee on Information Technology; Supreme Court Clerk Blake Hawthorne; and Chris Prine, 14th Court of Appeals clerk, will present uniform electronic-filing rules the information technology committee prepared.
Committee proposal: efiling rules for Texas Supreme Court and appeals courts
Committee proposal: efiling and service rules for state district, county and justice courts
Any person may comment on rules proposals before the Supreme Court of Texas or the Supreme Court Advisory Committee or offer suggested changes to the Texas Rules of Court, including the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, the Texas Rules of Appellate Procedure, the Texas Rules of Evidence, the Rules of Judicial Administration and the Parental Notification Rules.
